Gary Wojtaszek

Gary Wojtaszek is Executive Chairman & interim-CEO for Pure Data Centres Group (Pure DC). Joining in March 2026, Gary is leading Pure DC’s next phase of growth as one of the only independent pan-European data centre platforms operating across the FLAP-D markets, with a uniquely strong and growing presence in the Middle East. Gary’s focus is to expand Pure DC’s offer in supply-constrained core markets and develop the next generation of large-scale AI campuses across the region.

Widely regarded as one of the global data centre industry’s leading executives, Wojtaszek previously led CyrusOne through a period of transformational growth, scaling it into one of the world’s largest operators before its $15 billion acquisition by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners. His track record of building, operating and scaling hyperscale platforms at global scale positions Pure DC to capitalise on the accelerating AI opportunity across Europe and the Middle East.

Wojtaszek has a number of other executive and advisory roles including being the founder and “Chief Camper” of RecNation, the largest specialized real estate company in the US focused on marine and RV storage. Other board positions have included Talen Energy, Cumulus Data Center, GDS Holdings, DayOne, Actis/General Atlantic Capital, Ark data centres, Nxtra and Quantum Loophole.

He has previously served on many non-profit boards including SMU Lyle School of Engineering, Dallas Chamber of Commerce, KIPP Charter School, Dallas Zoo and Lang Entrepreneur Centre at Columbia University. Gary graduated from Columbia Business School and Rutgers University and is married with four children.
