Decarbonising digital infrastucture

Digital demand is surging, driven by AI and our increasingly connected lives. But as digital infrastructure scales to meet this growth, its energy footprint rises too.

To keep up with rising demand without compromising on net zero or commercial value, the responsible development and decarbonisation of data centres is essential.

Our R&D focuses on decarbonising digital infrastructure, tackling this challenge head on, and rethinking how our infrastructure is designed, built and operated.

Pure DC's living wall

We’re building one of the world’s largest living walls around Pure DC’s London (Brent Cross) data centre to enhance carbon capture and reduce noise pollution, while improving air quality and biodiversity for the local area. Trials show the use of biochar as part of the substrate can reduce water usage by up to 60%.
