Regenerating our urban areas

Supporting urban communities with climate adaptation
Urban areas are on the frontline of climate change – facing risks of flooding, overheating and biodiversity loss. Many are also deprived of green spaces, which are vital for building climate resilience and improving the lives of local communities.
Along with Pure DC, we’re supporting councils and local communities with urban regeneration to help cities adapt to the realities of a changing climate.
Our approach to urban regeneration
We take a highly localised approach to supporting urban climate adaptation and resilience through the creation of diverse green spaces.
Green spaces are essential in urban regeneration and climate resilience. They can reduce heat, mitigate against droughts, improve air quality and support biodiversity, as well as provide a nature haven to enhance the wellbeing of local communities.
Urban environments and communities differ hugely across the world. That’s why we work in partnership with local councils, authorities, experts and NGOs to co-develop solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of each area.
