A Year of Growth, Recognition and Sustainability: Pure DC’s 2024 in Review

2024 has been a standout year for Pure Data Centres Group, as we continued to build on our reputation for technical excellence, environmental responsibility and operational robustness. It saw us drive 108% growth in revenue, maintain our industry-leading standards, and elevate our public profile, all while putting our customers, communities, people, partners and the environment at the heart of everything we do.

Scaling with Purpose

We expanded our global footprint in 2024. In London, we delivered new data halls and secured planning permission to more than quadruple the size of our flagship campus – including consent for what will be one of the world’s largest living walls, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and community-conscious design. The next phase of our £1.6 billion development at Brent Cross is already well underway.

We also signed new customer contracts in Abu Dhabi and delivered phase 1 of our first UAE campus on schedule. Across Europe and the Middle East we’re advancing multiple projects, continuing to cement Pure DC’s position as a trusted international partner.

Operational Excellence: The “Pure Way”

A key milestone this year was the definition and implementation of our target operating model, which has optimised costs, clarified responsibilities, and driven a cultural transformation across our organisation. This model – part of what we call the “Pure Way” – reflects our strategic focus on efficiency, accountability and long-term value creation.

Across all our sites, we maintained 100% compliance with our Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and met all Safety, Sustainability and ESG metrics. This is a testament to the dedication of our teams and our high standards of delivery.

Industry Recognition

Pure DC’s leadership and innovation were recognised across the globe in 2024, with four major industry awards:

  • Data Centre World: Best Data Centre Operator
  • Platform Global: Data Centre Operator of the Year
  • W.Media APAC Cloud and Data Center Awards: Best Data Centre Operations Team (South East Asia)
  • Data Center Dynamics: Woman of the Year — Dame Dawn Childs, CEO

We were also named in the Sunday Times Tech 100 as the fastest-growing technical infrastructure company, further validating our trajectory and ambition.

Sustainability and Safety Highlights

  • 60% reduction in total market-based emissions (per MW of IT power) from 2023 to 2024
  • Zero waste to landfill certifications at our Jakarta and London data centres
  • Zero accident rates for AFR and TRIFR across the group
  • Highest possible SME score of “B” under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Silver rating awarded by EcoVadis for sustainability performance

These achievements showcase how sustainability and safety are embedded in our growth, not afterthoughts, but essential metrics of success.

Market Outlook: Strong Demand, Strategic Response

We continue to operate in a dynamic, high-growth market where demand for data centres, particularly from public cloud and AI deployments, remains high. However, new supply is increasingly constrained by power availability, regulatory hurdles, and macroeconomic pressures.

Pure DC’s progress despite these headwinds is the result of our ability to unlock complex developments at scale in supply constrained locations.

Looking Ahead

As we move into 2025, we remain committed to pushing boundaries — not only in infrastructure, but in sustainability, customer service and innovation. Whether it’s scaling the London campus or exploring new markets, our goal is to set the standard for what data centres can be: operationally excellent, environmentally responsible, and a catalyst for community support and urban regeneration.
