Simon is a highly experienced real estate investment banker and business leader with over 40 years’ experience in real estate development and global real estate capital markets. Prior to his role with Pure, Simon was a Senior Managing Director, then Senior Adviser, to Macquarie Capital, based in London. Previously, he was the global Chief Executive of DTZ Corporate Finance (which he led to 2006 No 1 global real estate financial advisory firm– Euromoney). He held senior roles with The O’Connor Group (investment management) and Morgan Grenfell & Co. (merchant banking). Simon has been involved with transactions and investments of over $20 bn on a global basis.
Simon has used his professional expertise to support causes he cares passionately about, particularly homelessness and the plight of the isolated elderly, chairing a London housing association (Community HA), a non-executive director of Arpeggio Properties (HA) and the Claremont Project (elderly support).
Simon qualified as Barrister-at-law (Middle Temple) and has an MBA from INSEAD. He is executive Chair of Pure and has overall responsibility for ensuring best practice governance and corporate policies.
